Samantha Blythe Bonar
July 14, 1974 – January 21, 2025
After an incredibly brave 25-year battle with cancer, Samantha passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side. She fought with everything she had until the very end, showing strength, grace, and courage beyond words.
Samantha was a firecracker—she told it like it was and was known for her flair to stand out from the crowd. She loved her friends, family, animals, horror films, cooking, and music. She lived, laughed, and played hard. In her later years, Samantha began expressing herself creatively through painting and drawing. Her unique personality and outlook on life profoundly impacted everyone she met. Samantha had an incredible gift for making people feel seen and loved, and it’s hard to imagine a world without her in it.
Samantha is survived by her daughter Scarlett, her brother Andrew, her mother Valerie, and her father Doug. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her stepfather Peter, sister-in-law Amy, nieces Harper and Kinsley, and her extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Samantha’s life, for family and intimate friends, will be held on Sunday, March 16th, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Ballantrae Golf & Country Club Recreation Centre, Hwy 48, #1 Final Round.
