Susanne Franke

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Susanne Franke, a remarkable woman whose strength, kindness, and love touched the lives of so many. She passed away peacefully on January 20, 2025, after a courageous four-year battle with cancer, surrounded by family who cherished her deeply.

Born on July 11, 1966, in Veerßen, District of Uelzen, Germany, Susanne was known for her endless generosity, resilience, and love for others. Her passion for gardening brought beauty to every space she touched, from flowers to vegetables and houseplants.

She was the first to lend a hand, always ready with wisdom, compassion, and a can-do spirit. Her strength and laughter left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Above all, Susanne was a devoted wife to Oliver Franke and a loving mother to Amanda and Sabrina Franke. Her love and support were a constant, and her legacy will remain a guiding light for her family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held in the Reception Centre of the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford, on Saturday, May 3, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., with words of remembrance at 3:00 p.m.

Attendees are invited to bring live flowers to be planted at the family farm, honoring Susanne’s love for gardening and the natural world. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
