Kurt Hermann Mayer

June 10, 1939 - April 29, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kurt Hermann Mayer, who passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Tuesday, April 29th, at the age of 85.

He has now been reunited with his beloved mother, Zita, and his cherished children, Leanne and Douglas.

Kurt was the devoted husband of Barbara for many wonderful years. His memory will be forever treasured by his loving children, Steven (Cindy) and Christopher; his adoring grandchildren, Matthew (Lindsay), Sarah (Brendon), Scott (Daniel), Rebecca (Codie), Troy, Tyler (Alexandra), Catie (Jaap), and Caroline (Steven); and his precious great-grandchildren, Grayson, Caleb, Mia, Axel, and Nora.

He is survived by his dear brother, Gerd; his sister, Gerda; his daughter-in-law, Ingrid; and his son-in-law, Ross.

A burial will be held on Saturday May 10, 2025, at THORNTON CEMTERY & FUNERAL CENTRE (1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, 905-579-6787) at 12:30pm with a memorial reception to follow.
