Colin Fabian

1953 – April 30, 2025

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Colin Fabian, at Pembroke Regional Hospital, at the age of 72, on April 30, 2025. After a short battle with cancer, Colin passed away peacefully with the warmth and love of family by his side.

Colin was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Cindy (McKay) Fabian, with whom he shared almost 50 years of love and partnership. He was a dedicated and loving father and grandfather to Amanda Fabian (Paige and Katelin Bellamy) and Eric Fabian (Hillary and Kyla Fabian and Benjamin Power).

Colin is predeceased by his parents, Roy & Mary Fabian (Crook), and his brothers Glen and Gordon Fabian. He was the brother of Marlyn Carr, Sandra (John) Drohan, Brenda Fabian, and Terry Fabian. He will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

Though he is no longer with us, Colin’s legacy of love, family, and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of those he loved so dearly. A man of quiet strength and a great love of the outdoors, Colin touched the lives of all who knew him. His gentle humour, wisdom, and unwavering support will be remembered always.

Professional arrangements have been entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Killaloe. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

1951 – May 2, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Cyril Parsons, who left us unexpectedly on May 2nd, 2025, in his 74th year. Loving husband of the late Sandra Parsons. Forever loved son of the late Leonard and Elizabeth Parsons.

Cherished father of Steve (Shelbie), Scott (Allison), and Julie Straus (Brad). Loving grandfather to Logan, Jake, Brooke, Ty, Madison, Sophie, and Hudson. Forever loved brother of Agatha (Willy), Norm (Kathy), Melita (Noel), Rebecca (George), and Dale (Pauline).

Cyril will be dearly missed by his extended family and many dear friends, but most of all his beloved Lilygirl. Cy loved nothing more than spending the afternoon on the links with his large group of golfing buddies. His presence will be greatly missed.

Friends will be welcomed at the Dwayne D. Budgell Funeral Home, 1105 Rest Acres Road, on Wednesday from 7 – 9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday May 8, 2025, at 11 am. In accordance with Cyril’s expressed wishes, cremation has already taken place. In Cyril’s memory, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be gratefully appreciated by his family.

Thomas Gregory Foley

1956 – April 24, 2025

Peacefully at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on April 24, 2025, Thomas Gregory Foley passed away at the age of 69.

Beloved partner of Martha Willison. Loving father to Tim Stinton, the late Amanda Willison, and Derek Willison (Sherrie). Cherished grandfather of Kaidyen and Dominic.

Dear brother to the late Joanne (Jack), the late Leslie (Carole), Joseph (Gerry), the late Peter (Linda), Peggy (Bruce), Karen (Robert), and Matthew (Louise). Son of the late Cyril and Loretta Foley.

Tom will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends. He brought warmth and kindness to those around him and leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter.

As per his wishes, cremation has taken place, and no services will be held at this time.

Dan Skinner

1942 – April 28, 2025

After a long and full life, Dan Skinner passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on April 28, 2025, at the age of 83.

Dan is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Joy Skinner (née Woodhouse); daughters Shelly Skinner (partner Pete Nowacki) and Joanna Milroy; and grandchildren Dustind and Maddison. He also leaves behind his brother Gordon (Cheryl), sister Marnie Phoenix, and their children.

Born and raised in Leaside, Ontario, son of the late Jack and Millie Skinner, Dan spent his formative summers on Georgian Bay where he discovered his lifelong love of boating. After graduating from Leaside High School, he earned a degree from York University and embarked on a career in sales management, eventually relocating between Ontario and Vancouver before returning to settle in Orillia.

Dan was a true entrepreneur. He revitalized several companies before founding Autosport Orillia, Dan Skinner Leasing, and Industrial Park Collision Inc. He actively supported local businesses and was a proud member of the Kiwanis Club of Orillia, earning honors such as the Skid Watson Award and Top 40 Under 40 CEO recognition.

He had a passion for all things motorized—from boats to cars and Harleys—and loved sitting on the back deck watching lake sunsets. Dan was also a gifted photographer, capturing cherished family memories over the years.

Dan will be remembered for his generous heart, sharp wit, impeccable style, and deep love for his family. A mentor and cheerleader to many, he held a special place for “the kids of Couchiching Point” who were like extended family to him.

The family offers heartfelt thanks to Shay and Kirsten in the emergency department, and to Dr. Italiano for years of dedicated care.

Williams, Vivian Lloyd (Nana, GG, Miss Vivie to those who loved her), passed away peacefully at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Monday, April 28, 2025, at the age of 80.

Born in North Wales, Vivian was predeceased by her parents Robert and Vera Bellis. Beloved wife of Ray Williams for 59 cherished years. Loving mother to Vicky (Mike, predeceased) and Kimm (Kevin).

Proud grandmother of Robyn, Erin, and the late Malcolm (McKenzie), and adored great-grandmother to Liam, Charlie, MacKenzie, and Meadow.

Dear sister to the late Michael and the late Idwal (Pamela). Stepsister to Doreen. Sister-in-law to Ann (Rick) and Pamela. Vivian will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her extended family and many friends.

The family would like to express special gratitude to Dr. Stuart, Dr. Bailey, Dr. Blier, Dr. Smith, the ICU team, respiratory therapists, and nursing staff of Soldiers’ 1 for their exceptional and compassionate care.

1946 – April 29, 2025

Passed peacefully at the Coleman Care Centre in Barrie on Tuesday, April 29th, 2025 at the age of 78. Beloved husband of the late Barbara (2018). Loving father of Geoffrey, Kevin (Laurie), and Lisa Munos (Jason).

Proud grandfather of Kelly, Heather, Danielle, Dillon, and Isabelle, and cherished great grandfather of Shayden, Teah, Aison, Haiti-Ann, Nova, Lincoln, and Khloe.

Visitation will take place at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Tuesday, May 6th, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel. Following the service, guests are invited to a reception in the Lounge. Interment to follow at Barrie Union Cemetery, 338 Sunnidale Rd., Barrie.

Michael Allan “Mike” Howard

April 29, 1959 – April 29, 2025

Surrounded by love, Mike passed away at Brantford General Hospital on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, in his 66th year, after suffering a devastating stroke on April 14.

He leaves behind his beloved soulmate of 40 years, Wendy (née Clark). Mike was the adored and proud father of his son Matt and daughter-in-law Gillian. He was “Bubba” to his grandsons, Carson and Parker, who lit up his life and whom he treasured.

Mike was the deeply loved son of Karen and the late Bill Howard, and a loving brother to Carol Keen (Dan). He was a forever-reliable brother-in-law to Kim White (Dan) and will be missed by his nephews.

Mike will be forever remembered by those he leaves behind. He was a man of great integrity and protectiveness, whose loyalty and strength were felt by all who knew him. Mike always did it his way.

Friends are invited to a memorial visitation at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 184 Grand River St. N., Paris, on Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. A private family gathering will be held for the placement of his urn at Paris Cemetery.

Alice Louisa Carter (née Glazebrook)

Dear brother of Brian Seaman (Bonnie) and Mike Seaman (Carol) of Owen Sound, and Ian Seaman (Mary Jane) of Stratford. Predeceased by his parents Helen and Herb Seaman, his in-laws David and Jessie Durie, and his brother Paul Seaman (Kathy). Doug will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Doug made many friends during his career as a computer programmer with Mutual Life in Waterloo, and later with the Cooperators and PPG in Owen Sound. He was remembered for his incredible laugh and his volunteer spirit, helping many community sports teams and organizations.

Doug was a founding member of the Better Pool committee, contributing significantly to the development of the Julie McArthur Recreation Centre.

In keeping with Doug’s wishes, his body has been donated to a School of Anatomy for research and teaching purposes.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Barbara Mae Muckler, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who passed away suddenly on April 23, 2025, in Huntsville, Ontario at the age of 89.

Barb was born on April 4, 1936, in Paris, Ontario, to James and May Gibson. She was a devoted wife for 65 years to her late husband Bill and a caring mother to Bill Jr. (Tracy) and Jamie. Predeceased by daughter Laurie (Farnsworth).

Cherished grandmother to Lauren Pitt (Scott), Benjamin Muckler (Nicole), and Brodie Muckler (Hailey), and great-grandmother to five. She was predeceased by her brothers Doug and Billy and is survived by siblings Gord and Carol.

Barb and Bill moved to Huntsville 52 years ago with their children and pets. She was a devoted “sports mom” at all games coached by Bill Sr. and attended countless games played by her children and grandchildren.

Barb enjoyed working in the toy department at Zellers and had passions for reading, knitting, gardening, and caring for her dogs Digby, Bailey, and Watson.

Visitation will take place at Billingsley Funeral Home, 430 Ravenscliffe Road, Huntsville, on Sunday, April 27, 2025, from 2–4 p.m. and 6–8 p.m. Another visitation will be held at Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 184 Grand River Street North, Paris, Ontario, on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, from 1–2 p.m., followed by the funeral at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Paris Cemetery.
