Audrey Jones Vaillancourt

1939 – December 28, 2024

It is with sadness that the family of Audrey Vaillancourt (née Jones) announces her passing on Saturday, December 28, 2024, in Sudbury, at the age of 85 years.

Beloved daughter of the late Joseph Jones and Marie (née St. Pierre) Jones. Cherished wife of Eddie Vaillancourt. Loving mother to Bruce (Doris) and Jeffrey. Audrey will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Adam (Ashton), Natasha, Dr. Jason (Emma), Jessica, Dillon, and Connor.

Dear sister to Patricia McBride (late Gerry), and predeceased by siblings William, Joseph, Reginald, Dolores, Marion, Edward, Roy, Gary, Robert, Jerry (Frances), and Pauline. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Linda and the entire staff of Pine Wing, 2nd Floor, at Pioneer Manor for their care and compassion.

Audrey was a kind, gentle, and deeply compassionate woman—always ready to lend an ear and lend a hand. She was a dedicated mother and a phenomenal cook whose meals and nurturing presence defined home for her children.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Hope Church. The service will be livestreamed at ourladyofhope.ca.
